Chaffles

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg

  • ¼ c heavy cream

  • 1 T cream cheese

  • Pinch salt

  • 1 T whey protein powder

  • 1 t shredded mozzarella

  • Butter or fat for waffle iron

Instructions:

Add ingredients except mozzarella to blender and pulse 30 seconds or more to blend. Pour onto preheated buttered waffle maker and cook till done. Optional - add a teaspoon or so of mozzarella to waffle iron before pouring batter to make chaffle crispier. This recipe makes two or more mini chaffles. To make more than this, simply double or triple the recipe as desired. Seasonings can also be added to make savory or “sweet” chaffles. Examples - onion powder, garlic powder, cinnamon, cocoa, etc. Serve with melted butter mixed with savory or “sweet” spices and whipped cream if desired.
